Ready, willing and able!
How can I be more involved and part of what’s going on at Woodside?
Serving as a volunteer can take many forms. Sometimes we make a one-time commitment for an hour while others give hours of their time every week. The reality is that there are many needs within and outside the walls of the church. We hope to help you match your talents, time and interests with opportunities to fill a need.
Regardless of what it is…
our goal is to help you develop and nurture a servant’s heart like Jesus.
Plan to Protect @ Woodside
If you plan to volunteer in programs involving children, youth, or vulnerable adults, you must complete our Plan to Protect screening annually. This includes the Plan to Protect training, an original police (vulnerable sector) check, and the appropriate application forms.
Training: We offer live training events at the start of every ministry year.
Tuesday, September 12 @ 7:30 PM
Sunday, September 17 @ 6:30 PM
If you are unable to attend any of those dates, you will need to complete the training online. To be registered for the Plan to Protect online training, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Police Check: Every volunteer with the vulnerable sector must provide us with a current and original vulnerable sector check that has been completed within the last 5 years.
- For those in Waterloo Region, please read the Police Check Procedure Details
- For those residing outside Waterloo Region, contact your local OPP detachment or local police service and request a vulnerable sector check.
If you are a returning volunteer, and you have taken the online refresher training, please fill out and hand in the annual Renewal Form.
*Upon turning 16, returning Youth volunteers must complete the Adult Volunteer Application Form.
We hope you will get involved. To explore the real possibilities please give us a call 519.669.1296 or email us at email@example.com.
