Woodside normally holds 2 congregational meetings each year. They are:
- The annual Business Meeting in the spring where reports are made and the members vote on the slate of Elders for the coming year, appoint the auditor and approve the audited financial statements for the previous year.
- A Congregational meeting in the fall where updates are given and the budget for the next year is presented.
This year, the fall meeting will be held on Sunday, November 20 at 7:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall followed by a dessert potluck.
Of special note, the current Elders will ask the members to vote on the addition of a new elder, Craig Hoffman, for the remainder of the current term (until the next annual Business meeting in the spring). The primary reason for this is the hiring of Darcy Dueck to our staff. Darcy served on the board of Elders but came off in June because our by-laws do not allow any paid staff to be members of the Board of Elders.
Anyone in the congregation is most welcome to attend these meetings. Although only members are permitted to vote at the meetings.
We look forward to seeing many of you at the meeting on November 20th.
