I hope this week’s early taste of summer weather has added a bit of joy and excitement in your homes like it has in ours. We are all truly looking ahead to the time when this pandemic will all be behind us.
First, I want to share a verse that is on my heart today. “Let us run with patience the race that is set before us. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.” (Hebrews 12:1-2)
Reflecting on this gives me great hope as I follow Jesus during difficult times. It reminds me to be patient and to persevere everyday because God’s story is much greater than whatever I am facing today. And I don’t have to face it alone!
Here is a video of our Facilities Manager, Stephanie Brayshaw, showing our new accessible washrooms and renovated foyer.
The renovation project is nearly complete and we’re excited for you to be able to see all of this in-person.
Speaking of in-person, yesterday the province shared the latest re-opening plans. At this point, we do not expect to return to in-person Sunday services until early July.
We do anticipate running our 6 weeks of day camp for kids at the church as originally planned so we are very excited about that. There are still spaces available for some of the camps. Visit our Summer Camps page for more details and to register.
We will keep you updated as changes occur. Until then, let’s run together with patience and perseverance!
