Friday Night Activities

Friday night we want you to take the opportunity to connect with other women in the church and community through your choice of activity. We encourage you to sign up for your favourite activity from the list, or ask a friend to sign up for the same activity together! Be creative, get active or enjoy a nice meal and make new friends at the same time! Payment for Friday night activities will be cash only at each location. Details are listed below. 


Victoria Bowl – 7:00 PM ($20) – Kitchener
Have fun playing a game of bowling with other women from the weekend conference! Create meaningful connections while also enjoying a game of 5 or 10 pin bowling.


Chic Pea Grill – 6:30 PM (variable) – Waterloo
Restaurant offering Charcoal Rotisserie Chicken, Turkish Pizza, Fresh Pita Bread, Hummus, Kebob and more.


Tea and dessert – 7:00 PM (free) – Floradale
Enjoy a relaxed evening with tea and desserts at the home of Marilyn Martin, while also enjoying the company of other women.


Sign making with Stewart Signature Designs – 7:00 PM ($30) @ Woodside
Stewart Signature Designs is a husband and wife team that specialize in creating custom rustic wooden signs and DIY rustic paint nights. The duo will walk participants through how to customize one of four signs, as seen below. No experience required. Stewart Signature Designs Facebook page


There will be a limited number of signs available for each design. Signs will be made on a first-come first-serve basis. Please arrive early enough to get the specific sign design you want.


Card making with Amanda Wease – 7:00 PM ($20 for 6 cards) @ Woodside
Amanda has lived in Elmira and currently attends Woodside, having attended for the last 10 years with her husband Kevin. She has always enjoyed arts and crafts, but particularly enjoys making cards as a creative outlet. She enjoys making cards because it is something she can give away to be a blessing to others. Amanda has held card making parties in her home for the last five years and she enjoys sharing this passion with others. On Friday night, Amanda will walk you through how to make six cards that can be customized for any occasion: birthday, sympathy, thinking of you, and congratulations. No experience required.

Cooking with Amy Sonnenberg – 7:00 PM ($20) @ Woodside
Amy is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist who believes that life can get complicated – eating healthy shouldn’t be. She strives to make nutrition fun, delicious and not at all boring. She is passionate about bringing families back into the kitchen and gathered around the table. Amy will bring fun to the kitchen by creating healthy soup in jar recipes that can be taken home to enjoy. Read more here (PDF)
