ENCOURAGEMENT & SUPPORT

The primary duty of the Encouragement & Support Team is to ensure that individuals or families going through a difficult time/crisis situation are shown God’s care and love by the church family. Here are ways they do this:

BENEVOLENCE
We are blessed at Woodside to have a well-supported Benevolence Fund. People who perhaps do not have the time or gifting to provide direct care, but who understand that caring has a cost, have given generously to help others with tangible, livelihood or counselling needs. The Benevolence Fund is overseen by a team of individuals, who work alongside the Director of Care, to manage its distribution in accordance with the Benevolence Fund Policy. For further inquiries, or to make a Benevolence request, contact Cairine Domzella.

HELPING HANDS
The Helping Hands Team ministers to the physical needs of the Woodside congregation and community. These may be of a financial or practical nature. Help is provided where possible with the resources that are available through church and community.

MEALS

NEW MOMS
This ministry provides support to families with new babies through arranging a few meals after the baby is born.

TRANSPORTATION
This ministry arranges rides to important meetings, such as doctors appointments and church meetings, for those who have no other means of transportation.
