Ready, willing and able!
How can I be more involved and part of what’s going on at Woodside?
Serving as a volunteer can take many forms. Sometimes we make a one-time commitment for an hour while others give hours of their time every week. The reality is that there are many needs within and outside the walls of the church. We hope to help you match your talents, time and interests with opportunities to fill a need.
Regardless of what it is…
our goal is to help you develop and nurture a servant’s heart like Jesus.
Plan to Protect @ Woodside
If you plan to volunteer in programs involving children, youth, or vulnerable adults, you must complete our annual Plan to Protect screening. This includes the Plan to Protect training, an original police check (vulnerable sector), and the appropriate application forms.
We offer live training events at the start of every ministry year.
Special In-House training for Kids Kamp Volunteers: Tuesday, June 19 @ 6:30pm
Fall 2018 dates – TBA
If you are unable to attend any in-house trainings, you will need to complete the training online.
To be registered for this option, please email email@example.com
Every volunteer working with the vulnerable sector must provide us with a current and original police check that has been completed within the last 5 years.
- For those in Waterloo Region, please read the Police Check Procedure Details
- For those residing outside Waterloo Region, contact your local OPP detachment or local police service and request a “vulnerable sector check”.
*Upon turning 16, returning Youth volunteers must complete the Adult Volunteer Application Form
Please return ALL completed forms to your ministry leader or the church office.
We hope you will get involved. To explore the real possibilities please give us a call 519.669.1296 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
