As Christians we are all part of God’s universal church. God has also given us the local church to help us in our journey with him. Membership is a way to commit to that local church. In this class you will learn about the church’s doctrinal positions, distinctives, elder’s roles, and the responsibilities and privileges of members.
You joined God’s family, the church (universal), when you received salvation. Becoming an official member of a local church is a commitment to a particular community of faith. At Woodside, members are held to a higher level of commitment to worship, connect and serve, and membership is a requirement for higher levels of leadership and decision-making.
Woodside members are real people who have personally trusted Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Lord and have been baptized. They are growing in real life with Jesus, and have been in regular attendance at Woodside for at least 6 months.

You will be asked to attend a Membership Class and complete a Membership Application Form (PDF). Then an elder will meet with you.
