For the past 50 years, God has been working through the fellowship of believers at Woodside Bible Fellowship to share the gospel with the Elmira community. Throughout the decades, we have continually seen how, in all things, He has been faithful to provide for the present and equip us for the future. This October, we have the privilege to reflect on his faithfulness in the past, in the now, and in the years to come.
This October 3, 4, & 5, join with us in a celebration of God’s continual work through Woodside. The weekend will include an all-ages open house, exhibit of Woodside’s journey, celebration dinner, and special Sunday service.
October 3rd
7:30 PM – 9:00 PM: Youth-led worship service | Worship Centre
Woodside Sr. Youth invites you to a night of worship. Music will be led by a team of youth and young adults, and we will hear testimonies of God’s faithfulness in the lives of our youth. This is an opportunity to see and celebrate how the legacy of God’s faithfulness at Woodside continues to impact our youth today.
Doors open at 7. Light refreshments in the foyer to follow.
October 4th
50 Years of God’s Faithfulness: A Woodside Documentary | Worship Centre
A 40-minute film on the history of Woodside and God’s work through us across the decades. Hear perspectives from Woodside members and leaders as they reflect on God’s faithfulness.

2:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Exhibits| Fellowship Hall
Take a walk through 50 years of Woodside’s history. Enjoy photos, artifacts, and displays demonstrating God’s faithfulness over the decades. See how you fit in as a part of what God is doing at Woodside, and be inspired to carry the vision forward.
A special ‘passport’ activity for kids is available. Light refreshments available in foyer.
2:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Kids’ Activities| Kids Zone
Come and see the newly-renovated Kids Zone in the church basement and speak to Children’s Ministry staff about the exciting new plans for the space. Explore how God has been faithful to both his people throughout history, and to his people at Woodside, through unique activity sheets. Race an AWANA car down the racetrack, and see part of AWANA history firsthand.
7:30 PM – 9:00 PM: Reflection service | Worship Centre
Arrive early for some fun trivia on Woodside through the years, and then join in the celebrations as we sing songs, tell stories, and remember the last 50 years together. The service will feature a special music performance by a choir of Woodside members under the direction of Gordon Wright.
October 5th
9:00 AM – 10:30 AM: Celebration service | Worship Centre
Join together with the entire Woodside family as we celebrate and commit ourselves to the continuing mission God has given Woodside.
Overflow seating will be available in gymnasium. Sunday school and nursery will be available.
Dedication ceremony and refreshments to follow.
