God loves every person He has created and He deeply cares about people living with special needs.

Our Woodside family includes adults and children with special needs whom we welcome, value and involve. At Friendship Club, developmentally challenged adults are paired with mentors to learn about God’s love and acceptance.
Each Monday evening we are enriched with the joy and love that explodes from precious smiling faces and dancing hearts as the love of Jesus is shared. We build caring relationships in a safe and comfortable environment where we meet as friends with one-to-one support, as we worship God in song, praise, prayer and a Bible lesson. Friendship club began at Woodside in 1995 and uses the curriculum from Friendship Ministries.
At Woodside you may encounter our special friends greeting you at the door, serving in the nursery or ushering in the worship centre. You may see them in the pre-service prayer time, lifting up to Jesus the needs of our pastor, worship team, and volunteers.
We hear stories from our coaches and team members from the Special Olympics floor hockey and baseball teams. It is a wonderful morning where we take time to celebrate Jesus and the real life He brings to and through our special friends.
